Need Help w/ Thea Dueck's "Wedding Sampler"

May 20, 2005 3 Replies

Okay. A bit ambitious for someone who has done exactly one previous hardanger piece, but here I am stitching this gorgeous sampler. I've checked the archive and I've seen several posts by others who have stitched this. I could do with some specific assistance. Anyone willing to offer advice via email? I'm at the cutting threads/pulling threads part (i.e., bands #5 and #17) and I'm **really** nervous about the cutting part.

Much appreciated.

I don't know the piece (others do) but wanted to say, don't get nerve wracked about the cutting. If the worst comes to the worst, it is usually very fixable, been there, done that!

When you cut, use very sharp pointed scissors and push them in straight up and down so to speak, at first you might find it more simple to cut two threads, then two more.

Good Luck

I will be starting HWS soon for my BILs wedding. I just finished the Anneversary Sampler and did the Christmas one last year so I'm pretty sure I've got it figured out. Email me if you like "addie lee at telus dot net" with no spaces and I'll be happy to help you as I have the chart right here. BTW, I also second the part about going to

where Thea answers questions herself a lot of the time.Addie
