New Project for 2006

The old "2006 Project" subject got so far afield I decided to try a new line. For 2006 I'm going to work Northern Pines Design called Blue Bayou to turn it into a box top for a granddaughter. I have finished her Sand and Surf. My second big project will be an orginal design, as I go, of a Kokopelli. I also have on tap several charts from Amybear which are needlepoint with different stitches. I'm still involved in The Button Vendor from an old Just Cross Stitch magazine and have in progress a large canvas of Kachinas. By the time we leave AZ for the summer in Minnesota, I'll have several more kitted to take along. No LNS or "Wal Mart" anywhere me in the summer. Clarice in AZ

I'm presently working on a little design, Teapots and Tulips by the Sweetheart tree, as a gift for a friend.

Then what I've got next in line is a fairy by Enchanting Lair, called Firedance, for my daughter, who loves this line because she loves "fairies with attitude. They even have one called "The Brat."

Hmmmm....Brat is not exactly what I would call that one!

Firedance, on the other hand, is gorgeous. Lucky daughter!

Oh pretty!

The Brat sort of reminds me of DD - more attitude than spoiled!

My stitching group has a tradition of starting a new project either Dec.31 or Jan 1 (or both!). Last year I started a Prairie Schooler owl. This year I will start the Burrowing Owl that Gill sent me from Florida. I have all next week to shop for floss (taking vacation next week) and will stitch him on Days Gone By fabric from Silkweaver! Thanks Gill for enabling this project!

Alison,

I like nothing better than to be an enabler!! You will have to post a picture on RCTNP when the Owl is finished. Shopping for you and Cheryl has also encouraged me to put some of RK Portfolio items in my "to-do" list.

Enjoy your time off work, and may 2006 be good for you, your family and all my friends here on RCTN!!

But that's what Brat is: attitude. Brat has nothing to do with spoiled. That's why spoiled has to be added as an adjective when needed. And please note the username does not say Dr. Spoiled Brat. LOL!

True.

Said small brat, after not being able to go to sleep last night until after

11 PM, woke up DS by hovering over him at 4AM. We all got up to open presents and then herded the kids back to bed.

It sounds to me like you're the brat today. Waking up a poor, pitiful, youngster because you're excited about Santa Claus. Shouldn't it have been the other way around?

Now I'm RD&H

I'm pretty sure she meant DD woke up DS by hovering over him.

I'm quite sure you're right and I probably should have put a smiley on that.
