They went from Africa to Spain to S America.

No, they didn't. The Peruvian Hairless and the Mexican Xolo (which looks very similar) predate the Spanish Conquest.

Perhaps the ancient astronauts brought them when they went from one place to the other building pyramids and the like.

OK I concede - too much Von Daniken (sp) for you lol There are unexplained stone works in Menorca (similar to Stonehenge) which occur in a line with geometric precision. They carry on again when they reach the mainland of Spain, probably a landing strip of some sort lol

Xolo - another handsome breed. I didn't bother to look up how easy these guys are to handle (what their physical requirements are, etc).

I'm happy with my Cavalier. Parker got his CGC in September. I'd like to train him as a therapy dog, but we'll have our hands full with a new puppy in January. I'm gonna be a tired owner for awhile. Dianne

As I said, I'm okay with some other breeds (we had a husky/doberman cross for years I loved) but Poodles in particular bother me very badly. It's pretty much 50-50 for me on whether I'm going to react to a given species of dog from what I've experienced. No real way to tell if I'm going to react to an animal unless I expose myself to the pet! :) I do have a real weakness for large dog breeds (shepards, huskies etc) but have a small upstairs apartment. And I won't put a big dog in a little apartment. Not fair to the dog, not fair to me. Ironically, my maine coon rules the house when we go to my mom's with her 3 big dogs and 2 cats!

Nah, my mother used to talk about that stuff. I think she read him.

I read him - and the rest of the chorus - way back in HS. It was entertaining. If you ever got in the "occult" and/or Atlantis myths, there is a very, very funny Elizabeth Peters book "Summer of the Dragon Bones". The heroine spends time on a rich man's ranch. He's apparently a willing ear for any thing of this line - ancient astronauts, past life regression...

Congratulations on the CGC! Have you tried Rally O yet? I'll bet you'd both love it. May be something to try when the new one comes along, so that Parker still gets his individual attention.

Congrats on the new puppy, too! I was tempted - my breeder had a lovely litter in June - but my hands are pretty full with the two I have.
