Then again, with the current weather in the northeast, perhaps a better punishment would be to make them all stand outdoors for a while....
I think that would be cruel and unusual, not to mention possibly deadly. Wind chill is sub zero.
Do you think this punishment would have an impact on the I.Q. of Sara Bellum??

Not here! Spring has sprung - flowers are blooming, trees are just in bud (some even in flower). Neeneh! Neeneh!

Not quite so advanced here. Snowdrops are out and some crocuses, plenty of blossom on the potato vine. Daffodils will be out next month. No sign of buds on the fuschia bushes yet. Lovely sunny day today, even managed to get some gardening done. Chilly wind though. 8° down to 4° or 5° Celsius overnight.
Snort! Down to +4 or 5 C? We made it up to -2C today. Got 4-5" of new snow overnight but a lot is melting off today. Still have daffodils and tulips poking up in the flower bed though. It will be a while before they think about blooming.

Hello from a hot Perth, Western Australia - we're in the midst of an awful heatwave, the last 3 days have all been 40celcius plus, with yesterday breaking the all time record when we hit 42.4 Celsius(somewhere about 110 Fahrenheit), a town approx 1000kms north, Carnarvon reported 48 degrees - and it is right on the coast! Today is forecast to be a relatively cool 38degrees, and believe me when I say that the 4 degrees from 38 to 42 really do count! Tomorrow is forecast to be a civilised 27, and I can't wait - I hate being trapped inside. How the weather goes depends on what the cyclone to the North West does......
