Halloween

Longish story: I was working on the PFH, a door bow kit, and discovered I'd mis-measured when I began stitching. The motif for one bow loop was off by an inch (I even had the backstitching in!). My mom, also a stitcher, was visiting my brother at the time. I called her there to bemoan my fate. My brother answered. Now, he kind of prides himself on knowing about lots of different topics. It's very tough to hit him with something about which he knows nothing. I asked him to pass the following message to our mom, "I had to frog the whole bow." Hr repeated it to me in a puzzled tone, then told our Mom, who reacted in a suitably compassionate manner. He then repeated, "Frog the bow?" to me in the most baffled tone. I stumped my brother!,/snoopy dance.

Mountain Dew. RC for cola.

If it goes through the needle, I'll stitch with it.

I`m collecting the whole series of Midsomer murders right now.

I watched the remake of "Hound of the Baskervilles" on Sunday - and knew the eyes and the voice of the man who played a doctor in it (Not Dr. Watson) - then I realised that under all the wig and beard lurked John Nettles! I wouldn`t exactly call him a great actor (he`s always - well - just John Nettles!) but I always enjoy anything he`s in.
