Oh, yeah, right. Me and McH a-stashing together and me not buying more? You missed our last S.E.X.-cursion where we were not two feet into the shop before she pointed out something I couldn't resist.

Meaniehead?

I prefer my 3 year old grandson's version of a curse word: "poo-poo butt dammit"

Only he pronounces the last word as dimmit.

If I say I'm a pessimist, it says I died three years ago. Which, of course, would explain why I'm a pessimist...I really am in hell.

Yes, I'm home. Got home on Tues. and am still trying to catch up with all of you!!!!

We had a *great* time!!! All 6 of us (my mom and 4 sisters) stayed in one room, which wasn't really too bad, although bathroom time was a little tricky! LOL The weather was in the 80s which, my dad's cousin who lives there said, is unusually warm for this time of year, but perfect for us.

We toured the Alamo, some cathedrals, missions and a few other historic buildings, walked the Riverwalk, shopped, swam, played some pinochle and whist, took a little roadtrip to see LBJ National Park (his grandparents' home) and his ranch, Fredericksburg, which is a German settlement with tourist shops, and El Mercado, a Mexican-type market.

Unfortunately, I never did get to the needlework shops that Julie had told me about. Just too hard when there are 5 other people who really didn't have the desire to do that. We really did have a blast, though!

Came back to 6 inches of fresh snow and below zero temps. sigh.

Next month it's Vegas and the CATS festival! WOOOHOOO!

That seems to be the leveller. If you are a pessimist, you've had it, it you are an optimist you are going to last soooooo long you'll regret it and become a pessimist in order to get out of here!
