OT: Happy Thanksgiving

Looks like you love footnall as much as we do! LOL! Have a great day, everyone.

Pat P

I like a good game of soccer - this is the other football where they wear all the gear and it seems to consist of how many of the other side can you mow down. An early version of Roller Ball - something like that.

Oh -THAT sort of foorball! We do watch Rugby - mainly for the opening ceremonies (Flower of Scotland etc.,) but we do usually get involved in the actual match, if it`s lively enough.

Pat P

his sounds to me like American football. Run a little, knock the guy down, run more, knock more guys down, and so on and so on and--------------

Obviously I'm not much of a football fan.

Lucille

A Happy Thanksgiving to you too Sheena! We'll have our daughter and family here for dinner tomorrow. With which team does your grandson play football? I hope the rain stops but I guess they play regardless of the elements. It doesn't make it very pleasant for the spectators!

Mavia

Sounds lively with two little ones lol He plays for Halifax West High School, their only loss this year was to QEHS, the power house I guess. It's a home game and they play on astroturf so the game goes rain or snow. Last year Joanna had to go even when it snowed and at that point he played only a brief time in each game, now in his second year he is on the field much of the time. I'm just the grandmother, I am excused when the elements do not cooperate lol

Have a lovely Thanksgiving Mavia.

Like the man said (or was it a woman?) "A lot of men running around after a bag of wind!"

Pat P

It wouldn`t DARE rain on Sheena! LOL!

Pat P

We'll have to see if the elements are any more in awe of Sheena then they were of Martha Stewart! Apparently the rain and fog combined to keep her from coming to Nova Scotia to participate in today's giant pumpkin paddle.

Good luck to your GS tomorrow Sheena...I'll be checking the sports page for results!

Mavia

Happy Columbus Day to those readers who aren't celebrating Thanksgiving till next month! :)~

Happy Thanksgiving--Sheena, Sharon in NB. Mavia, Jim Cripwell, Addie, Rachel, Fred, Maureen in BC---and all the other Canadians reading RCTN today. May your pumpkins never frost. Dawne

Phaw! I`d rather have Sheena any day than Martha Flaming Stewart! LOL!

Pat P

And a Happy Thanksgiving to you Dawne - and everyone else up here in the 'northland'. I woke up this morning with a full blown miserable cold - so I'm thankful I didn't have any big plans for today. If any of the kids did live near, they wouldn't be much help, none of them cook!!! Sniff Sniff Snork I love them anyway. :-))
