Maybe - maybe - maybe. Had he been a bomber - all your "maybes" could have resulted in the death of tens of innocent people. HOPPED on the train? Just how old are you? That`s a serious question, because if you are as young as you appear, it might explain your lack of common-sense and understanding of the world we live in.

I wonder just how you'd feel if it were your son who'd been mistakenly shot by the police?

Why can't you just admit that it was an awful, tragic mistake instead of continually trying to justify it? It was a mistake. Period.

Actually, if you read your history, you started the war. They were pretty much minding their own business until you colonized them.

I just love how you resort to ad hominem when you run out of arguments, Pat. It's so pleasant.

Right, couldn't be due to the stupidity of the investigators who failed to ascertain that there was more than one apartment at the address in question.
You admit that you don't know the whole story, yet you are determined to make it the fault of that young man. Why can't you just admit that it was a mistake and leave it at that? What would you lose?

But he was not.
I have a son who is 4 years old and it wasn't a teen pregnancy, it wasn't even in my early twenties.
Btw: How old are you because if you are as young as you appear you aren't even old enough to have babies even if you tried....
Was that too rude for you? Fine, now you know what I thought about your comment.

So maybe now would be a good time to stop backing up the pope? I mean, if you are truly an atheist why do you bother about him? His god does not exist for you..

Just for what it's worth: I live in a house with 17 appartments. If one person living here was a criminal that would not yutomaticaly make me one aswell, would it?
No, they did not. They did not show ID. They might have shouted "Police" but _everybody_ can shout "Police"!
Are you sure? If you had lived in India for 3 years would you be able to understand Hindi?
I really really hope you will never be followed by a mob carrying guns just because you behave suspiciously. On the other hand, by your comments I would probably be cheering for those officers just like you are now...

Pat wrote: Maybe he would have been able to detonate it at that point. All the more credit to the police, who, knowing the risk, both to themselves and the public still did their duty. You keep on about the wroing skin colour. Are you yourself "of the wrong skin-colour" as you put it, and are therefore prejudiced?
I write: And what exactly would that change? you are making so many asumptions about me it's geting quite interesting really.. Apparently I'm a black teenager now, who knows, maybe I'll turn into an Iranian 50y.o. male tomorrow?
Pat wrote: If you`re looking for Muslim terrorists you EXPECT them to be of a different colour to Anglo-Saxon - there aren`t actually very many white followers of Islam in this country - and yes, I know that there are some, but generally speaking there are not.
I write: Just because most muslims are non Anglo-Saxon doesn't mean all terrorists are "Non Ango Saxon". Just because most suicide bombers appear to be muslims that doesn't mean that all muslims are suicide bombers. It's like saying because most cats will kill and eat mice that means most mice are killed and eaten by cats.
Pat wrote: And to paraphrase Mirjam, you can`t understand the situation until it is on your doorstep. Don`t quote 9/11 to me - that wasn`t caused by a person walking amongst you un-noticed.
I write: Yes, it was actually. At least some of those men studied in germany, kept a very low profile, abode by the laws here. Just like those who bombed London who lived in England for most of their lives, kept a low profile, abode by the laws, until they built bombs and killed a lot of people.

People seem to have missed the vital piece of information Pat P. posted a few days ago. It was not plain clothes police who shot the Brazilian, it was possibly the SAS. If true, this explains much of what happened. Police are not trained to kill; the SAS are. It seems to me that it would be highly unlikely a policeman would have pumped 8 bullets into a man they had already restrained. It is *exactly* what one would expect from the SAS. Many years ago, I was on an army exercise in Canada, where a few SAS were involved. One night one of them fell into a quarry, and ended up with at least a broken pelvis and several broken ribs. When a young Canadian doctor examined him, all the information he would provide was his name, rank, and number!! Most people have heard of James Bond, licenced to kill. The SAS dont look like Sean Connery, but they are as close as anyone can come to being licenced to kill by the UK government. If it really was the SAS involved, then all de Menezes had to do was blink at the wrong time and he was a dead man.

Exactly. So why should anyone feel the need to assert that "he must have done something to make that happen," of that "he must have been acting suspiciously?"

No Elizabeth , you are tottaly wrong ,, when you tell me , without having the statistics , that our methods are no good, than it is very normal for me to ask you , if you have a better idea? ,, Since it is me and mine that daily travel , go to resturnats and shop , and we have found out that it does minimize the killings, than we preffer it to go on.....I assure you that People who lost families killed in Barcelona , Turkey, Indunezia, London and other places, would now agree that For their bags to be checked, Knowing that it could save even one life ..!!!
Maybe you are asking Rhetorical questions , i never do !!!! and in the rare case i do it than i will tell you that this is a rhetorical question. You ask
No i don`t know that there isn`t a better soultion i Fully am aware of the Minimalizing that we manage to do ... Same as ElAl showed the way to other companies about how to minimize Hijacking.
Of course not ? let`s all put out throats out ready for slaughter .... this is probably your best idea. >
Oh for God`s sake ,,,, playing this games ,,, You lecture all the time , even many atime about things you only know By theory , wake up , life is different , mirjam >
