OT: Interview with Mr. Bucket

Clive Swift is a much under-rated actor. He played Bishop Proudie in "Barchester Towers" - Alan Rickman (at the mention of whose name my wife, Maureen, goes weak at the knees) played the Bishop's oleaginous chaplain, Obadiah Slope.

Clive Swift also plays the minister in some other Britcom which was aired here recently -"Born & Bred" . Whenever we see him in something, DH always says - Hey, that's Hyacinth's husband - poor guy.

Yup, he's got that great voice, and just something. I really liked him in "Truly, Madly, Deeply" - in which he plays a ghost. And of course, as the wanna-be suitor to the unappreciative Kate Winslet in "Sense & Sensibility" . Hard to believe he's over 60.
