OT: It's official.................

it wasn't Crosby but the 'Lucky Loonie' that was responsible for Canada's gold medal win in men's Olympic hockey!

The Lucky Loonie, buried by the Canadian icemaker at center ice before Canada's double win in Olympic hockey in Salt Lake City in 2002, strikes again! The coin is now on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

Prior to the games a hole was made in the protective cover so that fans could touch it to send good luck to the teams during these Olympics. So there....the true story is out!

Never say that hockey fans and players aren't superstitious! :)

There were loonies buried in the curling ice sheets this time--they were given to the Kevin Martin rink. There were probably more loonies too. Dawne
