OT:Killfiling

Now I`m SURE that there used to be a facility to kill messages that contained a certain word in the BODY of the post - or was that just in emails? It would sure put paid to a lot of irritation if you could do that. Killfiling alone (not that I often resort to it) doesn`t really work as you still get the unwanted messages included in most of the replies.

Depends on your newsreader. If you are using Netscape, simply right click on the sender's addy. A list of options will pop up - one of which is "Creat Filter from Message" You then choose how you want to deal with the sender/subject. Most newsgroups are accessed through an e-mail style screen. However, if you are using Google - which I'm going to have to do shortly since Sympatico is dropping newsgroups (grrrrrrr!)- there is no killfile. Sigh

For Outlook Express that option is only available for email.

Thanks, Jeri - I knew I`d come across it somewhere. How inconsiderate of them! If they can do it for email how hard could it be to do it for newsgroups!

One interesting discovery I`ve made (I think) is that a couple of people I`ve "Killed" mysteriously reappeared. It would appear that if you do a System Restore with XP you can find the "corpses" have returned! ;-))

Were you the one doing Zuma, Brenda, or was it Cheryl? Or do you just tickle chuzzles? I just CAN`T get past 8.4 in Zuma. Nearly, but not quite!

I haven't bought the full version of Zuma. Thought about it but haven't yet. I've been doing Dynomite lately. My best ranking so far is "Terrible Claw".

My daughter gave me the full Zuma - haven`t seen Dynomite? Talk about second childhood! LOL> Sometimes you need something stupid like that, though.
