Yes, you did. I managed to see it just before I had to dash to bell practice. I hope I was reasonably coherent!

For those of us who don't watch TV (even for CBC News) please - do tell what you were being interviews about...

We live just off a busy road that goes into the city, and city council is considering banning trucks over three thousand kilograms in weight. The local news station sent a reporter out to get reactions from people in the immediate area, and she caught me coming home from school with the children. While I don't like the speed with which some of the trucks travel on the Bay Road, Halifax is a peninsula, and so there are only so many routes into the city. If the trucks are banned from the Bay Road, it will only move the problem, not solve it. At least in my humble opinion :)

Yes, you did very well - didn't seem nervous, spoke well, nice item.

The Herring Cove Road route might even be worse but I can't see why they don't make them go down the bihi to Joe Howe Drive.

That's just it. Joe Howe is four lanes across, which makes much more sense for the big trucks. That they're even considering Herring Cove Road is astonishing to me.

Doesn't surprise me with the lame brain mayor we have - should have been Sheila Fougere, I thought she had won as when I asked my daughter when she joined me in the UK who won, she didn't know and Marley (aged

7) piped up and said Sheila Fougere so confidently I believed it. It seems she heard some item on the radio and thought it meant she was elected lol

Some friends of ours were at a fundraiser on election noght, and when Peter Kelly was announced as the winner, there was apparently dead silence. I know we voted for Sheila Fougere. I think the vote break down showed that within urban Halifax, she won the vote, while he won outside. Anyway, four more years of cat discussions, apparently!

Wouldn't surprise me if some votes were fiddled too. He's just like GWB, incapable of a making a speech and it irritates me just to listen to him. Sheila, OTOH, I was told graduated out very high in her MBA, just what we need.

The cat discussions are ludicrous, they could never be enforced and rule number one is do not enact laws you cannot enforce - sigh
