is set in mid 1800's NYC and the characters are fascinating. It isnominally a mystery, but is so much more than that. Cheryl

Oh boy, now you've gone and done it. I'll just have to read this one also.

I went right away and put a hold on it via internet at my local library and I'm #2 in the holds list so I should have it soon. I'll let you know when I finish.

I'm reading a non fiction book now that has been fascinating. It's called: Why Gender Matters. It talks about actual physical differences between little girls & boys that makes different teaching methods work differently for each sex, like why little girls may think they're being yelled at by a man speaking in what he considers a normal speaking voice and why little boys may not hear a female teacher speak in what she considers a normal speaking voice. Suggestions as simple as dealing with boys side to side and girls face to face if you don't seem to be getting your message accross. I think the author may be Leonard Sax, but the book is in the other room & I'm too lazy to go & get it. :-) Liz from Humbug P.S. The wallpaper backing is coming off quite nicely with just a wet sponge & a scraper. It's going so well that it has put me in the mood to do the even uglier back bathroom. :-))
