OT: Update on EFD

I'm too busy so I have asked my DS to put together a proposal to our local gommermint for a research and development grant to help eradicate the EFD malady. We have come up with an idea that we think will work with most EFD clients. We envision an easy swallow gel capsule (ingredients presently confidential) with a pleasant taste, that it be tabby orange in colour and will come in regular and extra strength. A fair amount of testing will have to be done but we are confident that those who suffer with mild cases of EFD will be able to take one gel capsule in the morning and the *desire* to acquire, pet, stroke, coddle, fondle, one or more felines should be virtually eliminated for a 24 hour period.

Accolades to my DS for taking on the task of coming up with a product name, Names currently being considered; "Feline Farewell", "Feline Finali", "Feline Flush", If we can get enough investers we might set up a separate company to market the product and offer those with chronic EFD a compassionate discount on the price. Remember you heard it first on RCTN!

I used to have a dog food dish that showed Snoopy saying that.

We`re waiting to hear about a new pup, as a matter of fact. I expect Maggie will sit around with a "Jesus Christ - is it STOPPING?" face on for a day or two.

All cats and dogs who are kept AS PETS are babies to MOI regardless of size, age, breed because they are dependent on us for just about everything -- just like a people baby is. I know -- silly MOI but that shouldn't surprise anyone. Years ago, DH and I were out hiking down to the Verde River in Lizard Land and a big, beautiful German Shepherd came bounding up the path and sat down on the side of the road. As I was saying what a lovely dog baby he was, the owner came along. He scowled at me and said "That's a DOG, lady, not a baby." I asked if he had to provide food, shelter, medical care, etc. for the dog and he answered yes. I looked him in the eye and said, "Oh, just like you would have to do for a human baby, right?" and walked away. I won't tell you what DH had to say :-). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Do Cash and Harry obey the cat ?

Quite often, yes. Sometimes, no. Yesterday, Harry managed to herd Aksamite off the dog bed. By the time he got back, Cash was lying on it. But I'd not seen Harry do that before. Mostly they just wait patiently for her to leave of her own accord.

They (cats) are very controlling creatures and I think they simply enjoy the power lol
