I just have to say I ordered the standard version (for now) this a.m. and doing business with the folks at Hobbyware is outstanding.

it's my intent to upgrade to the Pro version in a couple of months or so. Until then, I'll "make do" :) I don't *need* the Pro version as the Standard is chock full of functionality. But i do like many of the Pro capabilities.

it's always heartening to find folks in a "hobby" like stitching, fountain pens, etc. who really care about customer service. it's also rather rare.

so... just thought I'd say. Just a happy customer.

I'll second that. I have an ancient version of PM on a floppy disk. My new computer doesn't have a floppy drive. Although Seanette's Pet Geek managed to transfer the data from the old computer to the new one, I still needed the Install file. I e-mailed, and within a matter of hours, they e-mailed back the Install file for this ancient version. I can think of so many other software companies that would've told me to just buy the new version on CD.

I've used PatternMaker Pro since version 1.0 I think. Upgraded to 3.0 when it came out, via Hobbymaker, kept updating the software as the updates came out, was always happy with each new update. When 4.0 came out I was drooling over the improvements! Mom got me the upgrade for Xmas, but they accidently sent me the standard version, not the Pro version. One phone call was all it took, they saw me in their files as having the previous Pro version, and sent it to me immediately.

If you have feedback about what you'd like to see them add to their software (I had asked for them to add Kreinick), they are always very gracious about listening and usually you'll see what you wanted turn up in an update or upgrade in the future!
