I haven't been here for a while, so thought I'd poke my head up and say Hello. I swore I thought I'd done this a couple of weeks ago, but if I did, I can't find the post!
I've been in a general funk for a couple of months now. In March, I had to have my beloved, noisy old girl, Chen Li put to sleep. Diagnosis was that she'd had a stroke, since she seemed to have lost motor control of her hind legs, one more than the other. She was 18, had a good long life and I miss her like the dickens! I detest going home, have had no interest in much of anything for a while.
But I'm getting better. I have recently picked up the guitar again (and am paying for it big time!). My fingertips are so sore it's not even funny. And I somehow had managed to forget that I was going to have to give up fingernails to play. Took me a week to work up to actually cutting them as short as they need to be.
So, right now I'm not stitching, since I can't feel the needle in my left hand and I'm a two-handed stitcher. And I have an obligation piece that's already one month late, sneaking up on two!
Anyway, how is everyone and what are you all up to? I've missed you but have been so down, I'm ashamed to admit I haven't been interested enough to check in. Tegan
