Not worried. However, I think it's funny that you're all indignant about being busted for what is technically stealing. Telling as well.
I just thought she didn't know.
Yeah, a lot of people are *remarkably* ignorant of such things. Thankfully some people really appreciate being told when they are likely to be put in financial peril by what they are doing.
Yep. And for those who think that it's OK to give their friends photocopies of patterns, because they're not getting any money in return, there was a case a few years ago, where I heard from a designer who was following the case closely that the gal got dinged for something on the order of $60,000 for giving things away free.
Sixty grand can buy a LOT of stash. In fact, I suspect that even those of us who've committed SABLE to the 3d, 4th and 5th powers don't have that much invested in it.
There are places online where you can get a quick legal opinion free from a lawyer. If you're going to mess with copyrighted characters, photos, or charts, take a moment to e-mail a copyright lawyer to find out what's legal. (A college buddy is a copyright/patent/trademark lawyer, and I got a crash course from him.)
Not just Disney! Just ask any lawyer!

There are a HECK of a lot of charts obviously "stolen" from copyrighted pictures on Ebay these days. You`d think that Ebay would stamp on it - after all, they maintain that they won`t allow it. They never seem to bother until someone reports it to them and they certainly don`t make it easy to file a complaint!

LOL - Thanks for filling me in! I've definitely achieved that state, and while I keep promising myself that I won't collect any more stash, it never works. At least it's a fairly harmless vice!
