I'm leaving on Tuesday to see my parents in Delray Beach, Florida. Since my 82 year old mom is sickly and my 91 year old but usually active dad will have just had a cataract operation, I don't know if I'll have any free time but if anyone knows of shops in the area that do more than specialize in cross stitch charts, would you let me know? Thanks.
There's a very nice shop in Stuart, which is about a 1/2 hour ride from Delray. The name is Stuart Stitchery and Jackie, the proprietor is a very knowledgeable and helpful lady.
It's a tiny, crowded shop, in an old house, but she does carry lots of things besides cross stitch and has a very nice collection of threads and floss.

Many years ago there was the Apple Shop on Swinton, I think. Check phone book - but they had tons of supplies and kits.
