I love baseball and stitching, and frequently combine them at home, but I so love going to the ballpark that I'd be too involved in the game to stitch there. I'm hoping to get to a game or two this season. The Nationals are probably going to be terrible, so we might be able to go see my Mets there, or up in Philly. Plus we have a minor league team in Wilmington, DE (Blue Rocks) that's closer than either of those. Season starts Sunday night!!

You can hurry down today to see the last of the Mets Spring Training games just down the road from my house at Tradition Field. But I believe the game is scheduled for 1:15 pm so you better rush right out.

I guess we're going - aren't we - with the guys in tow? Should be fun.

I already told Sara Leigh that I'll take 4 tickets. DD will be home then and DS can just hop the Metro over to RFK after work.

I told Cindy the same - kind of - we'll have 2 and I think the friends and god-kids will join us. We'll just have to work out sitting togetherish kind of thing. We could put the kids together (as in the 22 yrold g-daughter, 18 yr old, and maybe the 21 yr old guy up from Tech - the 12 yr old can bug whoever - plus she can knit).

Ericka???? Other locals??

I probably shouldn't admit in public, but baseball pretty much sounds like the 7th circle of hell to me ;-)

Geez, and I thought I liked you...LOL

Maybe your hubby and sons would like the experience? and if you're sitting there stitching you don't have to pay any attention to the game.

Hey, it's opening day and the possibilities of a brand new season always get me excited.

I know, it's one of my fatal character flaws ;-) I still remember the trauma from way back when I was in high school with a band director who was a rabid baseball fan. We went to Atlanta one year for a band festival, and his idea of a treat for us all was taking everyone to a baseball game. The funny thing is that even then, I spent the time stitching ;-)

Stitching would certainly make the experience more palatable. Still, I could find a more comfortable environment for stitching. Also, that's smack in the middle of the crunch for spring demonstration in dance.

It's always great to have things like that to look forward to!

Best wishes, Ericka

Yes - but we can stitch and be rowdy...and the boys will think we've done something great for them.

LOL - I'm only good for so many baseball games a season - and usually in really good seats - or I get bored. Bad enough I knit at hockey, and we're in the front there - ah, well.

That is a good idea! I am an Astros, Angels, and Rangers fan. I have been stitching and watching the games on TV for years. I love baseball and cross-stitch so to me combining the two is a great way to enjoy an afternoon. aeromom
