Hi All, I bought some of this for an umbrella cover, but when I started cutting it my dog jumped up on me and I got a pull in it. This got me to wondering if this stuff would be good for an umbrella cover. Do I need to stick with rip stop?

I don't know what titon cloth is, nor rip stop (though I'm assuming the latter is nylon based on your previous posts).
Umbrellas are made of all sorts of material, including lace and silk. And that's the best I can answer your question.
