tongue-in-cheek conversation

DH was working on assembling the tax info for the accountant.

DH: How much did you get from State Fair prize winnings?

Me: I don't know...not more than $20

DH: Well, find out. I don't want to go to jail for your stitching!

Me: (looking through file)It was $8. No, I don't want you to go to jail just because I can stitch well...hmmmm.....maybe *I* should go to jail. ALL DAY to stitch! Just give me three squares, medical coverage, and a needle and thread, LOL!!!

Sue (yeah, that $8 income is gonna put us over the top...) (Does that mean I get to deduct the $150 frame???)

LOl tell DH to chill out. Even banks don't have to report interest income less than $10. IIRC there used to be something called "hobby income". but I gravely doubt your $8 counts.

Used to work at H&RB District office on a 1000hr basis on Security Blvd. Loved the work , and still enjoy the paperwork and law. Hate writing them the big check, though, as they tax our SS to the max. Gill
