Hi, is anyone going to the Harrogate (UK) quilt show at the weekend?

I'm going.
At least, I'm all set up to go. I was going to make it Saturday, as I have appointments at the house tomorrow and Friday. Then we were going to visit DS in Lancaster on Sunday, as it's his birthday and our wedding anniversary.
Now, I've had to cancel the two home visits and the trip across the Penines because...
DH has suspected Swine flu!
We suspect DD brought it home with her over the weekend when she came back from Holy Camping, and then she promptly disappeared up to Uni in Edinburgh. Generous kid! She is alone in her new flat and in quarantine for 7 days. No one is up yet, so she had to Facebook for someone to get her the anti-virals (she is asthmatic, so it's a priorty she take them. I know many aren't bothering). DH is also asthmatic, but I went out and got his.
However, I don't want folks coming up to the house. But the Official Medical considered wisdom is that I can go out.
So I might go tomorrow or Friday, now. Or even both. I'm as fit as a butchers' dog (finger's crossed) and I don't want to stick around in case by Saturday I am unfit. It isn't carried by such as me (in a house with others, but showing no symptoms whatsoever), so I won't be endangering others, and I've been looking forward to this for months. I couldn't get down to the NEC so this is my consolation prize.
And I've got my winnings to spend!
Waaah!

Go! Do the spendy thing. It'll do you far more good that moping in the house.
Oh, poor you! I should go to the show and enjoy spending your winnings! I have to go at the weekend as I have 2 DS to look after during the week and I'm not going to attempt to take them!! Today we're off to York on the train to see the train museum - I think I must be mad, but its an end of school holidays treat. I've never tried taking them that far before on my own.
HAve Fun! Sarah
The Railway Museum is a treat in store for all of you! (But I remember refreshments being expensive. :( )
Plenty of climb on, hands-on stuff. Not a lot to break and plenty of running about room. Make sure you go to the Magician's bit where the DS can build bridges, switch signals and generally cause mayhem. We spent many a happy day there. So much so that we were members for a few years. Now entry is free, I believe. Then it cost a bomb. My DS favourite was Coppernob, but DH went for the scale model of the Garrett. I always had a soft spot for Rocket, especially when she is in steam. The plain ordinary beam engine is hypnotic.
BTW don't forget the model railway at the station. It's next to the short stay carpark.
Have a great day! Nel
It's a good job I checked! It isn't on today. Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. That could have been embarrassing!
