Re: Harrogate Quilt Show

Hullo Sarah I was there a couple of years ago. I liked it very much. It is not as frenetic as Malvern, and is not so tightly packed with people. The eating place is also easier, and you should be all right with a child. The eating place, when I was there, was between the parts of the hall set aside for the quilts hanging, and the trading and demonstration section. The parking is also easy. . How little is the monster? It can get pretty crowded depending on the time and day you go. There are stalls and things for food, but the queues are horrendous, doubly so at "mealtimes" (midday etc.). If I was taking a little monster with me I'd bring a harness if the monster was a toddler, and take my own food.

OTOH it's a fantastic quilt show with oodles of wonderful things to see

- stunning quilts (and /so/ varied), yummy fabric, "gotta-have" notions and gadgets and books and friendly stallholders and quilting celebs. I'll be there, without little monsters.

Strangely, I have never had to queue a long time for food.

The monster is 9 1/2 months now and not yet walking (although he may be by then) I'll have to take food with me for him, it's just whether I take food for me or not. We're going on the Thursday as our presence has been demanded at the in laws over the weekend! which day are you going?

I haven't decided yet, but probably at the weekend so DH can stay home with the kids. Will anyone else be at Harrogate at the weekend?
