Try taking a look at some of the back issues of Piecework. They've advertised or have had stories about ethnic embroidery from time to time. Dora

Try contacting the Embroiderers Guild of America. They have their own gallery and also sponsor a travelling show that has gone to several art museums and is still on tour.
