First you should make it clean , dry , [ ironing on the back] piece of cloth. than go to a shop you trust will do a good work. if you are not confident how it will looks , make a test , take an old embroidered piece, and let that shop laminate it . i have laminated some embroderies as well as some weaving samples .. It is a matter of your personal taste ... mirjam
When you say "ironing on the back", do you mean to iron on interfacing? I'm curious about the laminating idea, too.

thank you all for responding, I really enjoyed reading about what everyone (well, not everyone, because... well there are a lot of posters who are keeping there WIP's secret) is working on.
I have a few more in progress too, like the Great Blue Heron from Crossed Wings, an MLI Santa, a Red Tail Hawk.... all in good time, ya think?
My Turn
I have to wash Garden Path and do the satin stitch with the NN. Then, I'll bead the dragonflies on to the piece.
I have to wash Edwina Bear, press and do the beads and charms.
A needlepoint Ladybug. Lots of green to stitch and then the backstitching.
