Washing a piece with metallics

Thank you,

Now to figure out what to do with two "shadows" that aren't floss. I'm going to try a little Orvus rubbed right in to them now that DS and DH are out the door for this afternoon's game.

I second Mirjam's suggestion of cards. My mum, who is in a private care home, still tries to keep in touch with friends around the country, and on bad days writing a whole page is a bit of a struggle. A greeting card allows her to send a short message and still feel she has kept in touch. (one of her favourite recent gifts was one of those card organizer folders, with reminders of whose birthday or anniversary comes in each month.) As well, she has had to give up most of the hobbies she enjoyed--petit point and knitting in particular--because she tires easily, has various aches and pains, and now has some memory problems. But card making can be quite quick, and even someone without the dexterity to cut shapes can use the many shapes and trims available premade. Dawne

So true Dawne - my Mother loves crochet - as long as it's not too complicated ... she has a bum right arm that she can't raise up to shoulder height, so crochet, card making and such would be ideal ... and she loves to remember everyone's birthdays, anniversaries. I must put together a book of all that info for her.
