I have several old handkerchiefs with beautifully tatted edges - but the body of the hanky is literally full of holes. What can I do to recycle the edging? The fabric where it's attached is still in pretty good condition.
thanks for any ideas.

(1) Buy some handkerchief linen. (2) Unpick the the tatting where it was stitched to the original fabric (3) Make some new hankies and add the tatting.

Unpick the tatting carefully and use it for crazy patch (if you like doing that).
Use it on collars, cuffs, or pocket edgings.
Place it on the diagonal on a plain pillow.
