Where is everyone??

Always nice to slash at something lol

I am trying to get stuff ready for the first two days of a three day course. We are doing a wave with silver and gold threads. I guess the background sounds like chiffon, or at least something very light and hard to keep hold of.

Are you going Mavia ? We offered it to Bedford and I know there were some takers.

I`m very discontented since seeing our lates craft guild demo - Baltimore album quilts. I would SO love to do them (used to do patchwork) but suppose I`ll have to content myself with designing them for my daughter to do and, perhaps, helping her cut them out. I think I can do the cutting out bit with one hand, but not the stitching.

I bought her a quilting magazine and a roll of freezer paper to get started - and I know she has masses of fabric (I gave her all mine years ago).

Actually, a lot of my cross stitch designs would lend themselves to adapting for picture quilts - Carolyn Potts`s daughter has done one of one of my pubs. Looks good, too, from the picture she sent me. I could include the quilting templates with the cross stitch charts, couldn`t I? I can feel inspiration striking!

I may just have to nag Jane into stitching a quilted verson of my Suffolk Sampler!

Yes, we're on Easter break this week.

But speaking of chocolate - there's a new chocolatier opened recently, and I bought went to buy DS a bunny (he's vegan, and I can discuss ingredients directly with the person who makes it, and know *exactly* what's in it) and long and short of it, there was a "3 for" sale so I got one for myself. Finally bit the ears off last night and....heaven. Swiss chocolate, rich chocolate flavor and not at all sweet....my mouth was still "full" of the flavor 15 minutes later....ummm........

I'm gonna savor the rest of him, too. Very expensive, and worth every cent.

(Ann T in Ellicott City: it's called Glarus chocolatier, recently opened in Timonium MD. I remember you mentioning you get out this way every once in awhile.)
