Is it liquid and alcoholic?? Have I ever had malaria?? No, thanks to gin and tonic ( diet tonic these days because it is healthy!!)
Gillian the GMFH
a very dry gin over ice is even healthier. LOL! Ruby
But, Ruby,
That is drinking booze, not medicine!! We have to justify the stuff. Currently it is an "anti-depressant/ don't say what you think" medicine. interesting to see when we haul the MIL to the Dr next week. Have to warn her first though. Jim is chicken, so the WWFE ( wicked witch from England) will do it. In a kindly manner of course, and after she has food!!

I think one lives next to me. Lives alone and just bought a quarter million dollar 5 bedroom home. Has his boat out front. I was encouraging a friend of mine to start hanging around to try to catch his eye. :-)
Must be nice!

Poor little soul - she has my heartfelt sympathy! If she`s anything like me, the cure makes you feel worse than the original bug!

Looks like she`s been on both!

Hey - Gin`s a depressant! I can`t drink it (even when I could drink I couldn`t!) It always made me want to strangle someone! LOL!

Well it has fewer calories that way and we don't have much malaria here in Canada. I consider it antifreeze for my veins in winter. LOL! Ruby

I'll vouch for that. It was the cheapest drink on board Her Majesty's ships (3d) tonic was additional 6d and I never could understand why parties depressed me until someone said, 'don't drink gin' - after that I got right back to enjoying parties. I can't say it made me murderous, I just felt like crying.
Oops, yes, I forgot you!
I can tell you where I've been since March 18... My 80 yyr. old Dad went into hospital. He has terminal lung cancer, and had his first 'shall I say' emergency type incident :( I took two weeks off work and have been taking care of my Mom, driving her back and forth to the hospital, making sure she eats, and being there for all meetings with the Dr. I would be up at 6:30 a.m. and get home at 6 p.m. We also had a trip to the Cancer Clinic in Victoria for a radiation treatment. Dad was discharged on March 31, so then I had to arrange a walker and chair for the shower for him. Plus, I attended a meeting with the Home Care Nurse. For the next couple of weeks I'm going too try and balance work and driving my parents back and forth to Dr's, etc. and if Dad can't drive anymore, guess I will be doing the driving thing for much more than two weeks.
In addition to this, on the night of March 19, I was getting into the car and slipped on wet grass...ended up with 14 stitches in my forehead :(
It was the March from h***!
take care, L>For the last week or so I have had no more than 10 posts a day here. Has
