Unless you are an engineer by trade or know one that can help you with the design of the extruder. you are playing with a rather dangerous type of explosion.Think about it, why are they so strickt on the manufacturing of compressors tanks.
Rather go for a pneomatic ram to press the clay in a cylinder.

you might try doing this with hydraulics instead of air. you can probably get something off old machinery, like a tractor. i know they use these kind of mechanics on large power boats, if you're anywhere near a marine yard.
Thank you all for the input on the air extruder idea. I'll stay away from that for now and go with what works. I talked to my uncle yesterday about it. He and a few hundred people built a hydroelectric dam. He also thinks it's a dangerous idea.
