Very best wishes from the UK.

Decided we had had enough of being cold and damp so wangled a week in Cyprus (average 20oC which was nice). Based in Pafos with LOTS of antiquities all around: Mosaics, Rock cut Tombs, Byzantine Frescoes, and awesome pre-Roman Ceramics. Returned yesterday happily saturated and inspired!

Take care All.

From New Zealand Happy New Year too. Its meant to be summer here, but we have just had the worst December on record and it is grey and cool today too. Hope we do get a summer this year. It was warm enough to swim in Lake Taupo the other day, (and I'm soft) so perhaps. Hope everybody is happy and well. Annemarie

Happy New year to all too. Little late... Northern California was balmy from Thanksgiving until the day after Christmas... I needed sun block to sell in December and I am not fair skinned.. From the day after Christmas on it has been cold and rainy. Back to winter here. The mountain roads are closed due to snow storms. My friends spent all day Saturday to go 4 miles and then turn around and travel back on Sunday without reaching the Tahoe ski slopes... I am relaxing and buying clothes to visit mom... I don't know why I am bothering to buy new clothes... she is 84 and blind... actually, she can smell the dirt...to me its just clay... Gee sales were so great that I have next years' summer stock completed now... so much for the Bush economic recovery... Just mudding along... Russ
