A thank you

I don't post here, or even really read posts here daily. But I had to take time out to post a thank you to those of you that do, because I harvested a lot of information from this group for my wife as she searched for sewing machine.

She's become interested in quilting in the last year or so and decided to make one for her neice's wedding recently. It was quite a chore for her with a 20 or 30 year old sewing machine that was handed down from her Grandma. Frankly, I'm suprised she made it through ;-)

She ended up settling on a Bernina 185 with the embroidery options (185E?). She's excited and has begun work on designing a new quilt for her nephew's wedding a couple of months from now. She bought from a local shop, and while not getting a rock bottom price, I think she's set for local help and classes. I guess I have to figure out how get the computer working with this machine now. ;-) I think I might have to upgrade. ;-) For such an investment, I hope to redo a spare bedroom to make a sewing room for her so we don't have a dining table full of sewing materials for months.

So, **thank you very much** for all of your informative posts. I can't promise to keep up on posts here, but I expect I will be back from time to time as she has questions and could use advice from all of the experienced quilters out there.

I'm sure your wife will love the new sewing machine. I also bought a Bernina as my local dealer is only a 5 min drive from my front door. And she is getting a new sewing room to go with it...well...looks like you are a keeper .

Looks like you learned somewhere along the way the secret to a good marriage...."Happy wife...happy life!"
