Leslie, I don't have that model, but I do have an Electrolux vacuum (a canister without a handheld part), and I think it does a great job. I have a cocker spaniel, and this breed sheds (probably not quite as much as a houseful of goldens, though ). My vacuum does a great job of getting the doghair up.

We love Electrolux but ours is about 40 years old. Know nothing about new ones but I am so eager to hear about your tests. Please do let us know how it goes. I really would enjoy having a cordless broom for the sewing room; it gets most incoming traffic including Yorkies who don't specially shed but hoooBoy can they ever find: mud, dry leaves, pecan tree beards, mimosa hulls, assorted other debris and other unspeakable good stuff.
