Alice...

The last one gets delivered tomorrow. I have taken pix of the other five and will take some tomorrow as well. Then I will post the pix of all six somewhere, either on my webshots or yahoo group or both. The first three were delivered Christmas Eve at a party my BIL gives each year. Four of the five siblings attended the party. They were all reduced to tears! But all were very surprised and very grateful. They spent quite a lot of time trying to remember when this shirt was worn or when that one was given to their dad. My DH knew he would get his quilt later than the others because of the time it took to make them. Of course, his was done on time and presented on Christmas morning! Once he got over the shock of actually getting it, he cried as well. His was done a bit differently from the others. I had some fabric left over from the quilt I had made for his Dad several years ago and had enough to do the borders and backing of my DHs quilt. I also did a special label for his.

It was quite an undertaking. I was late on getting other things done but they were worth every minute and every penny. I should be able to get the pix posted tomorrow after the last one is delivered in the morning. Stay tuned......and thanks for asking!

How wonderful, Alice! Those quilts were the most precious of gifts. What a lovely rememberance. I can't wait to see the pics!

Also want to commend you on your fortitude to get them all done. I'm just awed by doing that much work so fast.
