Been out of the loop for a few weeks....

I have had an upper respitory infection and still slightly getting over the last of it. Poor Darrell (DH) had to take care of the baby for a week alsmost 24/7... I was totally out of it. Went to the doc with 106 temp and he wanted to put me in the hospital and i fought. I got shots instead and waited a few days and it slowly went away. I also got put on iron pills for anemia. I am much better now and Zen is finally gaining weight. She was 5.9 at birth and is 7.2 now. She is very fussy though. She still gets up a few times in the night and takes what seems like forever to get her to sleep again. It is tiring on both of us getting up and down for her. Soon she will sleep all night I hope. I am waiting so i can paint her roomand get it done!.... I also plan on going to the RCS meet.....DH said I could!

Oh you poor thing. Sounds like heck. So glad you are feeling better. I had noticed that you hadn't been on much. I figured being a new mommy you was preoccupied. I remember those sleepless nights. Hopefully she will start sleeping more. Good luck and take care of yourself.

On another note. I'm so excited that you are planning on coming to the RCS meet. I plan on being there and am looking so forward to meeting you in person. It's going to be a blast.

I've been wondering how you, DH and baby were doing. Zen will eventually get to sleep thorough the night, it just takes a few months........Glad you are starting to feel better, take care of yourself, and follow dr.'s orders

Ahhhh April so sad hear you've been sick. I thought you and hubby were just enjoying that sweet baby of yours. Lack of sleep and an infection you poor thing. I sure hope you start feeling better so you can enjoy Zen, not that you're not, but makes it harder when you need to take care of yourself too.

3 and 4 months old was the magic number for my babies to start sleeping through the night. I hope Zen starts sleeping through the night soon so you and hubby and get some much needed rest.

Can't wait to see ya in May!

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better and the baby is putting on weight. I didn't even know you had had her until Dave told me when he was here. By my timing it must've been while I was off group for a couple of weeks w/ a pulled muscle. I tried to catch up but I guess I missed that important post. Anyway, enough of my blabbering, I hope you continue to feel better.

Sorry to hear you were sick April. I have been battling a bad cold but not as bad as yours. Glad to hear your Zendalina is getting bigger and sorry about the lack of sleep...comes with the territory huh? I got off easy with my girls as they both slept through the night VERY early on. Good luck!

Those URIs aren't very fun. I hope you get to feeling better very soon! Just make sure you follow doctor's orders. Hopefully Zen will start sleeping through the night soon so you and DH can get some much needed rest. (and so you can get to scrapping all those baby pictures you've taken! LOL)

thanks everyone.... Friday night I got worried after 4 hours she didn't wake up... Darrell went to check once an hour on the hour after that and she slept a whole 8 that night... last night it was up again 2-3 times though... darn... one night!... I need more!

I was just reminiscing about the first time mine slept through the night. I didn't cause I kept thinking something was wrong with them. hahaha

Heehee, it made reminisc of mine sleeping through the night too! I woke up in the morning in a panic because I was sure I'd slept through their cries. (knowing full well I hadn't but still felt guilty! LOL) Heck, I woke up before they did!

I can remember the first time each one of my babies slept through the night. It was always the same...hubby and I would go to sleep in sheer exhaustion and jump out of the bed when the sun would come in or the clock went off and both of us would panic asking if either of us had gotten up with the baby then run to the crib..scared to death only to find tha tlittle darling sleeping like a little angel.

Well I finally managed to get down this far, trying to catch up on things! I am glad that you are feeling a little better. If Zen did it once, believe me she sill doit again. like everyone else, I can remember the sheer panic I felt when Shaun slept for more than 3 hours at a time. I was sure he must have stopped breathing! It does get better, really!

M-C P.S. I can't wait to see you again! Thank Darrell for me for telling you to come out and play with us!
