An idea

I've just finished making a flower pot. No, it's not really a flower pot for plants; it's a flower pot *shape* that's to be used to organize tools on a sewing table. It turned out sort of cute, if I do say so myself (pic at ), but I was thinking that the same idea could be used to make a waste basket, rather like John's but a bit easier to make.

Sandy, You know the canvas covers for a 5 gal bucket that have tool pockets, plus an inner thing that looks like the bottom of a purse? I use the largest of Cool Whip containers and make something similar, plus put a smaller container and lid inside that holds my small scissors, clothes pegs, and other sewing things, and later it works as a waste basket for the cloth trimmings and strings. Great gifts for sewing friends! Barbara in SC

I've seen the same kind of thing that fits in a coffee mug. Me -- I just use a chipped coffee mug. Right now, I'm using one that my godmother gave my mom (her sister), so it's got some sentimental value to me.

Well, no. I haven't really done it but I at least know how to tend the problem by myself. It's just collecting dust bunnies for now. I've been wanting to get all of the Christmas tree skirt tops assembled and the hard drive had to wait. Poll

That's the one! (forgot the "name") I found a mug was a bit too short to hold my scissors, etc. ME-Judy
