Another Quilt finished with pictures

I bought my first quilt kit this fall. Our Godson's middle sister is turning 13, and I always make each one a quilt. She is crazy about dragons, so that was my theme. After looking for suitable dragon fabric, I resorted to getting a kit. I found it online at the Backdoor Quilt Shoppe in Billings MT. Talk about amazing service! I ordered the quilt on Friday, and it was in my mailbox on Monday! The fabric quality was excellent as well! The quilt was finished yesterday, photographed and then shipped, as her birthday is quickly approaching. It is in the "There Be Dragons Here" folder. I don't usually like fusible appliqué, but this one was fun to do. I tried to place the dragon parts on the fabric so that there would be a contrast, as each dragon is made from one piece of fabric. Most of the batiks and fabrics had enough variety in colour that it wasn't too difficult. I enjoyed using my collection of metallic, rayon and cotton variegated threads to accent the dragons. Now I can return to my normal pace.......
