Another happy dance :)

Baravelle Spirals is finished! I had such a good time making this, and now I just have to wait until January for the local guild's challenge competition. In the meantime, I've posted pictures of the quilt on a temporary page, which I will have to take down in a few days. There are no links to that page anywhere else on my site, so it should be relatively safe. The link is .

Pat's pattern was just wonderful! Her instructions were clear and easy to follow. The most difficult part of making it was doing the embellishment, since I don't really do that sort of thing as a general rule. I think that's fairly obvious. ;)

Oh my! Oh my goodness. How beautiful. I just can't wait for our Pat to see this. If I'm calculating the time difference right, it's about midnight on her hill. She's going to be delighted. Polly

Absolutely awesome, Sandy! I love the purple spectrum colors you chose to go with the black & white--somehow subdued yet vibrant at the same time. (I know that doesn't make sense, it's just the feeling I get from it.)

Good luck with the competition! I bet this quilt does VERY well. :-)

Thanks, Michelle. The crazy quilt circle is sponsoring this challenge, so I'm thinking that their entries will be embellished so beautifully that no quilt of mine will stand a chance. That's okay, though; I loved making this one! :D

Thanks, Polly! Yes, I was sorry I didn't finish adding the pearls and fixing up the web page before it got so late there.

Thanks, Leslie! :) That center is a piece of one of the required fabrics; I just fussy cut it to place a flower there.

I'm up now! and Polly you're quite right. I absolutely love it. It's such a thrill to see my patterns made up. I'm keeping them all, as I promised >g< They will all lighten those dark days that turn up from time to time.

Wow, the embellishment really adds to the piece! (Can't always say that about embellishment.) Beautiful border treatment, lovely quilting. Roberta in D
