Another top done

I'm just so glad you put in a close-up 2nd picture. I couldn't quite figure out what the fabric looked like in the full shot. How wonderful. The bandana print is terrific; love the quilt. He will too. Polly

Thanks, Polly. I knew the prints wouldn't show in the big picture so took the close up. I have another Thomas quilt to make for youngest grandson but different Thomas print and different color bandana prints.

I'm going to have to find time to go to the basement and do just that.

Your DGS is going to love his new quilt! I'm actually considering taking a paper piecing class at the Empty Spools Seminars next year. My thinking is that, perhaps I could learn to love it as so many other quilter's do. Great quilt Mary.

BTW My daughter and family went to the parade in Danville yesterday. I didn't realize it but she works in Danville... James E. Roberts-Obayashi Corp.

What a small world Mary. Yes, the Danville parade has quite a reputation. Yesterday when I took my dog to the dog park, I was amazed at how far from the parade the spectators were having to park their cars. It's a great parade. And the weather yesterday was perfect - not too hot, as it often is. We don't go to the parade anymore, but we hear the Clampers firing off their muskets! There were pictures on the front page of the newspaper this morning.

I hope your daughter is enjoying living in this area. How is mom doing?

Yes they are. The lived in Palo Alto then Sacramento then Santa Rose before Walnut Creek. They want to stay there tho they will have to get a larger home.

Mom has improved greatly much to our pleasure and surprise. She is able to get around the house with her walker and do most things for herself. We are staying here because we know this is temporary. I do the cooking and grocery shopping and Steve is painting the house on his days off.

To keep this on topic: I spend most afternoons sewing. I'm finishing a BOM this afternoon and working on a miniature quilt for a friend's doll house. Then I will make a baby quilt for one of DH's co workers.
