It's a generous idea Karen, but I honestly think we can contact if we want to. I was just thinking this morning that I wanted to send an e-mail to someone whose address on the newsgroup is a 'nonsense' one. What to do? I thought well I could just post a message on the newsgroup asking her to contact me first. Similarly with addresses, we can do the same thing. Squishies were lovely; but over here, anyway, fabric is now so expensive, a squishy would be probably reserved for a special occasion and, there again, we could ask the person to e-mail or ask someone who would be likely to know the address, if we didn't already know it from a previous directory or from regular contact. I honestly don't think you should put yourself through it. I think this particularly as so many are now on Facebook and the group is split. I, and the others who will not be attaching themselves to Facebook, will find ways and means. In any case, there were always those who didn't join in with the Directory anyway. It was never 100% of 'membership' - and ways had to be found to contact those folk.
I may be speaking way off the general line here, I have no means of knowing - other than to wait with interest to hear what others say.
Thank you for the thought Karen - whatever the result of this question. . In message , Karen
