I am so sorry to have been away for so long. I would say that it's because I've been busy quilting, but that's not really true. I've been busy ... rai sing two puppies, getting son #2 off to Air Force basic training (we went t o Texas for his graduation a few weeks ago), getting son #1 started in a ne w career repairing(wait for it -----) repairing sewing machines, not being very well physically and generally belly-aching and carrying on.

I miss everybody here horribly. Ginger, I owe you email big time. Nightmist , so good to see you are feisty as ever, even if you are a bit laid up righ t now. Everybody? Oh my how good to see the old gang and all the names and it makes me tear up a bit.

I promise not to be scarce now. I will pop in and say hello and tell you wh en I get a new project going.

I love every one of you, Sunny

Sunny, I'm sorry to hear that you're not well! I don't even have that excuse for not posting much lately. But I've been busy, busy, busy with this and that. Today my DGD will be here to make a doll quilt with me -- her first attempt at any sewing at all. We'll need to choose fabrics, learn to sew a straight line (on lined paper, probably), measure the doll bed, etc. I suspect a barely-six-year-old will not finish today before running out of attention span. ;) But that's okay, too -- I have tea and cookies for refueling, and we can always work again another day. :)

He, I'll come over and sew for a bit if there is tea and cookies! Probably iced tea for this weather though. I am jealous of you grands. One day..... Taria

I can always been convinced to fix a pot of tea, Taria! The cookies need a bit more advance notice. LOL! The quilt session today went so much better than I'd dared hope! I can't wait for DGD to come back for the next "installment"!

Sunny, It's always good to hear from an old friend!! I peek in here about once a week, just to catch up on the news from everyone. I may not reply, but always enjoy the posts. Glad you're keeping the gators at bay long enough to enjoy life!! Don't be a stranger. Your chair is always free for you here, just bring chocolate!!! =) Amy
