ARNOLD/WARREN BUFFET/SHULTZ

Well on several shows this a.m. it was revealed (even by Rush) that Arnold's first move based on Buffet's advice would be to increase property tax. Calfiornia has long been under a Prop 13 regulation where the change is tax only goes into place when the house/property has been sold. Otherwise, the tax is less that 1% a year. Thinking behind this is that not only will it relieve the income for the state revenue but will rid California of some of its too dependent elderly. If they can't afford the tax they will be out and have to move elsewhere. That is why this Jarvis guy had started this Prop 13. I think it is time for California to stop favoring the elderly. They aren't owed any more breaks than a young couple with children. In fact, we all know that they are a drain on the economy and want a lot of special care. A lot to ask from people who are not productive. As was pointed out on the Limbaugh show today. This will be revealed to the California public as the run for gove goes along. Now that he has George Shultz in place as his secondary advisor Republicans will again gain control of the third largest economy. (advisor to Nixon and Reagan) We will be able to control all of California's natural resources from timber to off shore oil. ELECT ARNOLD and get EQUITY. Brigid

Heavens, we have MUCH more imprtant things to get heated about! This persom seems to think Usenet is wholly American. There's a whole world out here more interested than quilts than in a property tax so low it's obscene!
