oooooo, Kathyl.....ouch.....so sorry to hear about this, and so soon before the weddings. I agree with the wheelchair being "decked-out"! what fun that would be! {{{{Hugs, and get well soon!!}}}}

Oh, Kathyl, this is way bad news. I am sending warm wishes and keeping your recovery in prayers. Is your outfit one that will slide easily over your cast? You might have to send a friend shopping for a fancy skirt and top ensemble for you. Meantime, take care and TRY to be calm about all this. Hugs, PAT in VA/USA

That Morphine drip must be strong .... all you need to do is to type your name after the last sentence. Like this: Pat was here!! LOL and HUGS

Thanks everyone. I didn't know how to sign my message with Google.

Hugs and Get Well wishes Kathyl. After I had mentally sympathised and said 'oh dear' a few times, the next thing I thought of was thank goodness you had finished all the little green boxes (I could only manage to make one, how you managed to make so many I don't know!) and the scarves in good time.

A decorated wheelchair sounds just the thing - and my third thought was how about a very smart hat to go with your outfit. If you didn't get round to two outfits, you could always have two very different hats - no awkward trying on of clothes, but a different look. You could have a big shawl/pashminay thingy too to co-ordinate. Perhaps a local store would help out and bring some to you, or let you have some 'on approval'.

Dear Kathyl - didn't recognize the moniker for a start until I started reading all the gal's notes!

What a freaky accident to occur! My goodness, this has certainly livened up proceedings. I hope the two wedding parties are cool, calm and collected folk who can just get on with it and have fun with your predicament in the nicest possible ways! e..g. lots of cake, gentle hugs, and champagne.

The things people do to get attention .

Lots of love and thoughts for a speedy recovery. Bronnie Oz

Oh Kathyl -- what a horrid thing to have happened to you! I'd opt for maybe a rented dolly (isn't that what they call it -- the thing they use to carry boxes and the like)... They could strap you to it... wheel you around the dance floor with your son!

Seriously -- I hope you are able to enjoy your children's weddings.

At least the Hawkeyes won their game that night! LOL

Prayers and {{{HUGS}}} for a speedy recovery!

What bad luck Kathyl. Look at it this way it could have been the week before the wedding, at least you have time to get used to the cast. Morphine drips are good... Morphine + pethadine is even better.
