borders are on

I like it!! And it looks like it could be a nice sized lap quilt too. Just the thing to have for over the shoulders or knees and such.

Oh, I love them Kathyl! The colours are perfect; and I so like the device of using two fabrics per border in the way that you have. I have tried this a couple of times and the effect pleases me every time I look at them. The whole quilt, as it is now, is just terrific. . In message , KJ writes

Yes, it's finished, and it's lovely. You did a great job on the borders, even without our help!

Kathyl, I don't blame you for jumping right in. In fact, your jump landed you smack dab on the mark! Wow! I love the way you did those borders! The contrast of warm-cool on different sides plays off of the colors of the circles and their backgrounds and couldn't be better, IMHO. Congratulations! How're you going to quilt it? ;)

I may quilt it similar to the one from QNM. That one has quilting in the block ditches, then in the ditch around the oval and then echoed once out from the oval. The interesting part was the quilting/embellishment in the ovals. They have two diagonally oriented (ie., angled) lines across them with some being done in embroidery floss and some have beaded lines. Might be interesting. I was just looking at my bead collection....it looks a little limited for this....so....more shopping!
