Bought a sewing machine and also OT

I think you did great! Coincidentally, I'm wondering if I did, too....I responded to a Freecycle post today. A woman offered a "1950's Singer in cabinet". I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow. She said the "tension is messed up." Is that a fixable thing on such an old machine? I have a 1953 Singer that I dearly love to sew on. I thought at the very least, this one may be good for "parts" someday. And it might be a good machine on its own....my old Singer is a real workhorse. Sigh. Guess I won't really know till I drag it home.

I strongly suspect that would be fixable. Those old Singers are just about indestructible. It is possibly just out of adjustment and she didn't know how to adjust it. It could be the bobbin tension that is needs adjusting. Or it could be as simple as being threaded wrong.

Write your meds down: name, dose, time of day and tape it to the inside of the kitchen cabinet. My husband takes almost 20 pills a day. He has kept three empty pill bottles and marked them with an indelible black marker "Breakfast", "Lunch", and "Dinner". Every night before he goes to bed he sets up what he needs and puts the bottles by his computer because he has more room there than on his desk. If you have to take yours at certain times instead of at meals, you could markd them that way instead.

I think you'll do really well with your sewing machine.

We have one with very large compartments, but most of his pills are very large pills and he can't get 6 or 7 of them in the same compartment. How he swallows those big ones is a mystery to me, but he manages.

Thanks for the help but as far as the pill bottles, won't do me much good. 2 are inhalers and 1 is for the nose. I have it done now. It is just the first day was kinda confuseing, of course haveing 2 of my grandgirls here at the time didn't help any.
