Busy Times

Whew!!! I was so hoping that things would quiet down and slow down once we got into our house. Oh how wrong I was. The same week we closed on the house we got the news that two more grandbabies are on the way, due in November. The remodeling, getting ready for our son's wedding, trying to get their king sized quilt finished and just the regular daily routine has kept us so busy. I finally got the quilt finished the day before we flew to Texas for the wedding. Spent the week down there and had a wonderful time. The wedding was absolutely wonderful.

Things just don't seem to be slowing down though because just when DH and I think we are going to have an empty nest, one of the kids decides to come live with us. Luckily we now have room in the basement for a small apartment. So DD decided to move from Nebraska with her three kids to NY to live with us. Her sister came for a summer visit too. So our house is full again. The grandkids are great but not being used to having babies in the house it's quite an adjustment. They are a GD 3, GS 15 months and GS 2 months.

Needless to say I still don't have my sewing room all set up yet so quilting is still on hold for me for awhile. But when we get finished with the remodeling, woohoo. I've still been collecting fabric when I get the chance. One of the Wal-Mart stores closed their fabric dept. so I was able to get a lot of fabric for practically nothing.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone. I hope I can be more regular in here soon but I don't know. The babies keep me so busy and when their mom goes back to work, well my time will be even more restricted. So happy quilting to everyone.

Hugs, Mika

Whew! I just moved you to the top of my prayer list. My goodness. I needed help with 2 babies at a time. It will be a very long time before you complain that you are bored. Holding you close, Polly

Thanks Sandy. It's good to be back even if it is just for a few posts. I've sure missed all of you and the fun we have in this group. I'm hoping that I will be able to start setting up my room sometime next month but that remains to be seen. How are you and the family doing? I hope all is well.

Oh Polly what a true joy you are. Thank you so much. Yes it will be a very long time before I have a chance to be bored. They are definitely a challenge too. Somehow though, I think we will survive. Not for sure how yet.

All is pretty much fine, except for one divorce getting rather messy in the family. It happens -- but I wish it didn't. :S

I am so sorry to hear that Sandy. I hope it all works out without too much fallout. Glad to hear the rest is doing good though.
