The store I work in (Country Sampler, Papillion and Omaha Nebraska) has been working with ConKerr Cancer in donating colorful pillowcases for children in local oncology wards. One of our customers was featured last night on local tv as a Heartland Hero. I agree, don't you?

Here's a link to the story.

Great piece. I explored ConKerr.org and found a drop off for pillowcases just 5 miles away.

My guild has been making pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer for the past few months. We are going to have a "sweatshop" in August instead of a regular meeting & see how many the members can make. They are so easy to make & love that instant gratification!

My quilt class @ the Senior Center is doing this also. My friend cuts them out (which saves me LOTS of time!) I can surge them in under 10 mins.!!
