Color test

It's been years since i wore nail polish. But I tend to like light, light pink tones. Nothing vivid. That way when I scritch a nail or something, it doesn't show much. The other color I wore was a light pinkish brown.

Sunny with fair, fair pinkish skin tones. My Color Me Beautiful season was summer.

When I wear colored polish it is pale pink or lavender, almost translucent. Dark colors make my hands look fat. My fingers/hands are larger than the average woman's hands are, and the nail beds are over

1/2" long on each finger. I like to wear clear polish with a little nail decal on one or more nails.

Do you mean that if you pre-sort by color and then sort the shades you will get a worse score than just sorting as a whole? Debra in VA See my quilts at:

I got a 19.

I read somewhere once that light polish will make short nails look longer, and dark polish will make hands with short nails look broader. That information sent me into a mother of pearl nail polish phase when I was about 13.

No. I mean that sometimes your moniter will make it hard to tell the difference between a change in color and a change in shade. Especially on a gradual scale like those. I bet that a lot of people would have gotten better scores if they took the same test with physically present color swatches than they did on their computer.

I would hazard that those of us who scored well have done a fair bit on computers that requires paying attention to color, or have particularly good moniters. For example I own a handpainted paint chart for my favorite brand, and I see it on websites all the time when I am shopping. Things like that teach you what your computer sees versus what your eyes see, and you learn how to tell what your computer is showing you colorwise.

NightMist Plus I make charts like that when I get a new color of paint so I know how to mix it. A definite leg up on such a test.

Thank-you all for your well wishes for my husband's upcoming radiation. It just came out of left field, since they had just told us that they got all the cancer out when they removed his prostate in April. His follow up PSA was slightly elevated, when it should have been almost nothing. Then the next blood test, it was higher still. I know that he'll do well, he's very physically fit, not overweight, never smoked, doesn't drink, walks many miles a day. The news just knocked me for a loop this time, much worse than the original diagnoses of cancer. There is no cancer in either of our families, which is highly unusual these days. All of my people died of heart disease and some of his family have lived to 98 and 103 years old. Just needed to blow off a little steam, I'm better now, thanks again.

The first time I did the test I scored 19, in dim light at night. Today I re-did it, sunny daylight, and scored 3.

So if you didn't score as well as you thought you might it may be because of the amount of light and possibly the quality.
