Has anyone used these?

I'm concerned that the edge where the pieces connect will cause problems when cutting. I was going to try one out at the Houston Quilt Festival, but I didn't see anyone selling them this year. TIA,

One of the people at a retreat I went to had one or a similar one. She couldn't figure out how to place the pieces around the edge to stabilize it. I helped and got most of it on for her. If you get one, I'd suggest numbering or labelling a to b to c etc. to help when you take it apart.

I never cut on it, so can't make any functional comments about it.
