Cute bags for Christmas gifts

Hi All,

My dear foster sister taught me how to make little cute bags and I wanted to share my efforts with you talented people.

I made one for a special friend and she ordered 5 more. My first ever sale.

Hope you like them as much as I do/did.

I was up to 2.00am this morning (Aust DST) cutting more out to make today.

Regards, Di Vic Australia

Hi Kathy,

They are similar but I don't make them like that. The ones I make a folded differently - there are no actual instructions that I know of but I am sure there will be somewhere. They are so versatile and can be used for almost anything small that needs to be carried around by either children or adults.

Thank you for that website, I am going to have a go at making one of them.

Well done Di, they look great.

I made a couple of those last year for DDs friends when they turned 18. Unfortunately I was in such a rush that I forgot to take photos so I had forgotten about them.

Hi all,

Dee in Oz has found a website with the bag pattern and we can see no mention of copyright fortunately for me.

Those bags are so precious. I used to make a bag to match DD's dresses when she was such a little girl and first started school. Most weeks that year we had to go back to school to collect a shoe, sweater or some other spare part. The little bags helped her keep up with her lunch money and whatever bug or other treasure she wanted to share with the other small folk. A sweet memory. Thank you. Polly

Thankyou all.

What a splendid idea Polly, I am making a dress for my niece's baby, so will make a little bag for her too.
